About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer to join a major, long-term project with over 8 years of secured work, offering stability, progression and exposure to a complex, high-value scheme. You will be responsible for accurate setting out and surveying, ensuring all works are delivered in line with design specifications, tolerances and programme requirements. Working closely with site and project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring precision, quality and efficiency across all stages of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out duties in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Ensure works are delivered within tolerances and quality standards
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and site plans
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and management to coordinate works
- Use and manage surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, etc.)
- Record and maintain site data, reports and as-built information
- Assist in resolving technical and setting out issues on site
- Support quality control and ensure works are completed accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer / Site Engineer within a main contracting environment
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects
- Strong understanding of setting out processes, surveying equipment and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Relevant engineering or construction qualification preferred
- Open to or actively seeking relocation
