About the company My client is one of the most successful utility contractors within the UK turning over £100M. They are a tier one main contractor but they also sub contract utility packages on large contracts. They are a leading provider in the multi utility and wastewater infrastructure sectors and employ around 800 people in the UK. The opportunities to grow within the company are huge, they are always expanding and they like to promote within and reward their staff. They are a multi-disciplined, civil engineering and utility contractor operating nationwide. They provide a complete range of utility and civil engineering services including water, gas, electricity, telecommunications, highways, pipelines, drainage, structures and full infrastructure packages. You will be working in their new offices in Birmingham, they are very high end and polished and it makes it a great environment to work in. The reputation of my client is brilliant, they are known for completing work on time and to a great standard, because of this they have landed some big contracts with Stafford water, Severn Trent water and the national grid. About the role Due to my client continuing to grow they are now looking for a Site Agent to join their very experienced team. You will be reporting into the project manager and will be working on their major projects for clients such as Morrisons and HS2. They have also won an EV charging station contract worth £10M per year and this a growing side of their business. The works is all around multi utility installations involving gas, water and electricity and all associated civils including rising mains, sewage, deep excavations and pumping stations. Wastewater diversions will also be a key project during your time there and they have an order book of £15M going into 2025. Benefits and rewards The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 – £60,000, on top of this you will be given a company car/competitive car allowance. You will get a matched pension scheme and 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays. About the requirements You are required to have a good standard of education preferably a BSc in Civil Engineering. As well as being well educated it’s vital you have good stability on your CV working for a tier one or tier two contractor within utilities. You will need to have excellent NEC contract knowledge and will need to engage with clients. The most important part of this role will be your work ethic and you will be welcomed into a family run business and offered significant room for progression. A UK driving license is mandatory for this role
