I’m currently working with a growing specialist construction consultancy to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor into their London team, supporting the delivery of major renewable energy schemes across the UK. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected consultancy operating in one of the most exciting sectors in construction right now, with projects spanning:

  • Wind Farms across Scotland
  • Solar developments across the South
  • Battery Storage projects
  • Waste-to-Energy schemes

The team is particularly interested in candidates with renewable energy or wider energy sector experience, although they are also very open to strong Quantity Surveyors from utilities, civils, heavy infrastructure or major engineering environments. You’ll join a commercially focused team delivering both pre and post contract services, although strong post-contract experience is considered essential for this hire. Projects are typically delivered under FIDIC contracts, with some NEC exposure also required.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial management across complex infrastructure and energy projects
  • Contract administration and change management
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Managing contractor accounts and valuations
  • Risk management and commercial advice to clients
  • Supporting procurement and tender processes
  • Working closely with project delivery teams across multiple live schemes

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy or contractor environment
  • Strong post-contract experience
  • Exposure to NEC and/or FIDIC contracts
  • Background in renewables, utilities, civils, infrastructure or energy projects preferred
  • MRICS is desirable but not essential
