Due the company expanding and winning lots of infrastructure projects in Kent they are now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Manager. The projects that you’ll be involved in will infrastructure, Bridges, heavy earthworks, deep drainage, anchor block installations, pilling and concrete works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs across multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring each is profitable for the Company. You will be involved with the reviewing, evaluation and delivery of payments as well as developing client relationships. The projects that you will be involved in will include new multi-story car parks, major earthworks, bridges and highway schemes. Initially you will be working on enabling works on a Highways scheme in Colchester. This is a £25M link road job. As a senior quantity surveyor you’ll also be in charge of having your own team of quantity surveyors and assistant quantity surveyors.

You will undertake general surveying of projects as required, which will include reviewing and pricing variations and preparing valuations for the respective Project Manager and Commercial Director.

The role is a permanent position. No freelancers will be considered.

REQUIREMENTS

You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC or equivalent qualification) in either Construction, Civils, Commercial management or Quantity Surveying.

Your work history should be stable; ideally you should have worked at your previous companies for a number of years.

A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
