ABOUT THE COMPANY

I’m partnered with a respected commercial fit-out contractor known for delivering high-quality CAT A, CAT B and refurbishment projects for clients across corporate, leisure, retail and mixed-use sectors. The business is built on strong technical capability, dependable delivery and a collaborative, solutions-driven approach.

As the company continues to secure larger and more complex schemes, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end project delivery and ensure exceptional outcomes for clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of commercial fit-out projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You’ll act as the key point of contact for clients, subcontractors and internal teams, taking responsibility for planning, coordination and on-site performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the successful delivery of fit-out projects typically ranging from £1m–£10m+.
  • Developing project delivery plans, programmes, risk registers and progress reports.
  • Managing client relationships, ensuring clear communication and excellent service throughout.
  • Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain smooth project flow.
  • Overseeing health & safety compliance, ensuring best practice is upheld at all times.
  • Monitoring cost performance, variations, procurement and commercial reporting alongside QS teams.
  • Managing design coordination, technical queries and buildability issues.
  • Chairing progress, site and client meetings and maintaining accurate project documentation.
  • Leading handover, commissioning and close-out processes to achieve full client satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong experience managing commercial CAT A/B fit-out or refurbishment projects within a main contractor or D&B contractor.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects in the £1m–£10m+ range.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate site teams and subcontractors.
  • Confident client-facing communication and stakeholder management capability.
  • Solid understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, health & safety and technical coordination.
  • Good commercial awareness and experience working alongside QS/Commercial teams.
  • Ability to plan ahead, identify risks and manage multiple moving parts effectively.
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Managers level) and First Aid qualifications as minimum.
  • A proactive, solutions-led approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
