Assistant Site Manager – Residential Developer
I am currently working with a leading PLC residential developer who is looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to join their team in Hertfordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager with residential construction experience to join an established housebuilder with a strong pipeline of developments across the region.
Working alongside the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the development, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring homes are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day management of the development.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site.
- Monitor build quality and ensure company standards are maintained.
- Ensure works are progressing in line with the construction programme.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the site.
- Carry out site inspections and identify any quality or build issues.
- Assist with coordinating materials, labour and site logistics.
- Work closely with the Site Manager and wider construction team.
- Liaise with technical, commercial and customer care teams where required.
- Assist with driving plots through to completion and handover.
Requirements
- Previous experience within an Assistant Site Manager, Trainee Site Manager or similar construction role.
- Residential development / housebuilding experience is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of the residential build process.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Confident managing and coordinating subcontractors.
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on build quality and Health & Safety.
- SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid would be advantageous.
