Are you an experienced Building Manager looking to join a growing Build to Rent developer where you can play a key role in delivering an exceptional living experience for residents?
Our client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a flagship residential development.
This is a varied role combining building operations, compliance, tenant management and contractor supervision, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across both operational and customer-facing responsibilities.
The Role
Reporting into the senior management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the development, maintaining high standards across the building whilst delivering an outstanding resident experience.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the development.
- Acting as the main point of contact for residents and dealing with tenant queries and escalations.
- Building strong relationships with tenants to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Managing contractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required standard.
- Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Carrying out regular building inspections and ensuring communal areas are maintained to an exceptional standard.
- Managing health & safety compliance, statutory inspections and building records.
- Monitoring service delivery and assisting with budgets where required.
- Supporting move-ins, move-outs and tenancy-related matters.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
- Previous experience as a Building Manager, Estate Manager, Residential Manager or Property Manager within Build to Rent, residential property or managing agents.
- Strong tenant/resident management experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of health & safety and building compliance.
- Experience managing contractors and service partners.
- The ability to prioritise a varied workload and work independently.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience using Qube property management software.
- Experience with Risk Wise.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
- Experience working within a Build to Rent environment.
