About the Role
In the role of Researcher, the successful candidate will support the business\’s commercial and strategic functions by gathering, analysing and presenting market and competitor data relevant to the workplace interiors, fit-out and furniture sectors. Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting desk-based research to identify trends, competitor offerings, client demands and emerging opportunities in the workplace environment market.
- Collating information from a variety of sources (industry reports, company websites, trade publications, interviews) and synthesising insights into clear, actionable intelligence.
- Assisting in the preparation of internal reports, client pitch material and business development documentation by providing rigorous and up-to-date research findings.
- Working closely with design, build, furniture supply and consultancy teams, to ensure the research output aligns with commercial strategies and supports project delivery.
- Maintaining databases, tracking market changes and proactively flagging new potential leads or shifts in the competitive landscape.

Requirements
- Demonstrable experience (or strong academic background) in research, business intelligence, market analysis or a similar role — preferably within commercial interiors, construction, architecture, furniture or fit-out sectors.
- Excellent desk-based research skills: ability to source, validate, synthesise and present data from diverse sources.
- Strong analytical mindset — able to identify patterns, draw insights and present findings with clarity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional reports and client-facing documentation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with databases and CRMs is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.
- An interest in workplace design, interiors, furniture markets or fit-out trends is a strong plus.
- Ideally located within commuting distance of the business\’s base (and able to attend the office regularly as required).
