Main purpose of role: The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Plumber must have formal qualifications and a strong understanding of health and safety regulations. * Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings. * Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, providing effective solutions. * Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems. * Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects. * Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations. * Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. * Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients. Skills, Experience & Qualifications * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent formal qualification. * Valid CSCS card. * Proven experience as a plumber in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. * Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Valid UK driving license. Desirable: * Gas Safe registration. * Experience with renewable energy systems, such as solar thermal or heat pumps. Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. * Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights. * Ability to work in various weather conditions. * Waltham Forest services Ltd Health & Safety, Customer Care and Communications policies are understood and applied as appropriate for this job level. * Able to work as part of a 7-day Rota including out of hours. * Able to take part in an out of hours on call Rota. * Valid CSCS card. * Must hold a valid UK driving license
