Working with repeat clients across the commercial, education and infrastructure sectors, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely and on programme. Typical project values range from £1m to £5m.
About the Opportunity
Due to a growing workload and a strong pipeline of secured projects, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Foreman to oversee works on a commercial and education project based in Solihull. This role would suit someone with a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering who enjoys leading site teams, driving programme and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Managing operatives and subcontractors on your section of works
- Coordinating day-to-day site activities to ensure programme targets are achieved
- Allocating work and supervising site teams
- Monitoring productivity, quality and workmanship
- Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Liaising with the Site Manager, Engineers and subcontractors to resolve site issues
- Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress
About the Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Foreman on UK groundworks and civil engineering projects
- Experience delivering commercial, education or public sector projects
- Strong technical understanding of groundworks, drainage and external works
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with site teams and subcontractors
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (preferred)
