Their portfolio includes major data centres, industrial developments and large-scale commercial schemes, with project values typically ranging from £5m to £30m.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team on a major data centre project in Newcastle.
About the Opportunity
This opportunity would suit an experienced Health and Safety Manager with a strong background in civil engineering, groundworks or reinforced concrete frame construction.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining the company's health and safety procedures
- Preparing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements and construction phase plans
- Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks
- Advising project teams and subcontractors on health and safety best practice
- Investigating incidents and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture across the project
- Ensuring the project remains compliant with all current health and safety legislation
About the Requirements
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential
- Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager within civil engineering, groundworks or RC Frame construction
- Experience working on large commercial, industrial, infrastructure or data centre projects
- Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and construction site operations
