As the business continues to grow, our client is expanding their in-house media capabilities. They are now looking for a Multimedia Editor to join their internal media team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative professional to shape the business’s visual storytelling and enhance their presence across LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Editing: Edit and produce long-form and short-form video content for use on LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms. This includes creating engaging project highlight videos, client testimonials, event recaps, and promotional clips tailored to each platform’s format and audience.
- Image Editing: Edit and enhance images from company projects and events for use in marketing materials, on the company website, and across social media. Ensure all photographs are high-quality, on-brand, and optimised for both web and print use.
- Content Collaboration: Work closely with the media producer and media team to plan, storyboard, and execute multimedia content that aligns with the company’s campaigns and objectives.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain and uphold the business’s brand guidelines across all content. Ensure that videos and images are consistent in style, tone, and messaging, effectively communicating our company’s values and story.
- Software Utilisation: Use industry-standard photo and video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) to create polished final products. Perform colour correction, sound mixing, and other post-production tasks to achieve professional results.
- Asset Management: Organise and manage multimedia files (raw footage, edited videos, images, graphics) in our content library. Archive completed projects and maintain an orderly workflow to ensure content is easily retrievable for future use.
- Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media, video production, and graphic design. Propose new content ideas and innovative techniques to help the business’s media stand out on platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a video editor, multimedia editor, or similar role, with a strong portfolio of video and visual content (please provide examples of your work).
- Advanced proficiency in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro) and photo editing tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom).
- Familiarity with creating content for social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram.
- Understanding of each platform’s requirements, trends, and best practices for video and imagery.
- Excellent visual storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail, composition, and timing.
- Ability to craft a narrative through editing that engages viewers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills. Able to handle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities. Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and incorporating feedback from colleagues and stakeholders.
- A creative mindset and a passion for staying updated on new techniques, tools, and trends in multimedia content creation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree or certification in film production, multimedia, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience creating content within the construction, engineering, or B2B sector, which will help in understanding the business’s industry context.
- Skills in motion graphics or animation (e.g. familiarity with Adobe After Effects or similar) to produce simple animations or graphic overlays.
- Photography or videography experience, with knowledge of camera operation and lighting, is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of SEO principles for video (e.g. YouTube optimisation) or experience with website content management is beneficial but not required.
Rewards and Benefits:
The salary for this position has been left as negotiable, so please keep my £30,000 to £45,000 scale as a rough estimation. My client is prepared to pay the right person an excellent basic salary along with full benefits. Hybrid working arrangements are available and with offices in central London and around London, they can be flexible on individuals movements. The important thing is they are looking for someone creative, detailed, and passionate.
