I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist flooring contractor delivering raised and access flooring solutions across commercial projects throughout London and the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with flooring experience to join a reputable subcontractor with a strong pipeline of work and long-standing client relationships.
Role Overview
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for multiple flooring projects, working closely with project managers, site teams and suppliers to maintain strong commercial control from pre-contract through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and management of cost plans, budgets and cash flows
- Producing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Commercial management of specialist flooring packages
- Reviewing and negotiating supplier and subcontractor agreements
- Cost reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
- Supporting tender pricing and pre-contract commercial input
- Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed commercial parameters
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within flooring, ideally raised or access flooring
- Background with specialist subcontractors or interior fit-out environments
- Strong knowledge of cost control, valuations and commercial reporting
- Confident managing multiple live projects
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
Desirable
- Experience with raised access flooring systems
- Knowledge of commercial office or technical fit-out projects
- Relevant construction or surveying qualification
