An opportunity has arisen for an MEP Commercial Manager to join a well-established and growing MEP contractor with a strong secured pipeline of residential projects across London and the surrounding areas. Role Overview
You will be responsible for the full commercial management of MEP packages, ensuring cost control, risk management, and contractual compliance from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) packages
- Cost planning and budget control
- Subcontractor procurement and package buyout
- Management of subcontractor valuations, variations, and payments
- Preparation and agreement of final accounts
- Contract administration (JCT forms of contract preferred)
- Commercial reporting and forecasting
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risk
- Working closely with project and operational teams to ensure financial performance
- Supporting pre-construction and tender commercial input
Experience Required
- Background in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
- Experience working for an MEP contractor or M&E subcontractor
- Experience managing multiple MEP packages (not single-discipline only)
- Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement processes
- Good understanding of JCT & NEC contracts
