A well-established M&E contractor delivering large-scale residential and commercial developments is looking to strengthen its in-house design capability with the appointment of an Electrical Design Engineer. With a strong order book and repeat business from key clients, this role offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects where electrical design plays a critical role from early concept through to handover.
The Role:
- Producing electrical designs including LV distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarms and data systems
- Carrying out design calculations and preparing technical documentation
- Developing coordinated drawings alongside mechanical and BIM teams
- Supporting value engineering and cost-effective design solutions
- Attending client and contractor design meetings
About You:
- Proven experience within electrical building services design
- Comfortable working across RIBA stages
- Strong knowledge of UK regulations and industry standards
- Proficient with industry software (e.g. Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD/Revit)
- Detail-oriented with a strong commercial awareness
