A well-established M&E contractor delivering large-scale residential and commercial developments is looking to strengthen its in-house design capability with the appointment of an Electrical Design Engineer. With a strong order book and repeat business from key clients, this role offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects where electrical design plays a critical role from early concept through to handover.

The Role:

  • Producing electrical designs including LV distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarms and data systems
  • Carrying out design calculations and preparing technical documentation
  • Developing coordinated drawings alongside mechanical and BIM teams
  • Supporting value engineering and cost-effective design solutions
  • Attending client and contractor design meetings

About You:

  • Proven experience within electrical building services design
  • Comfortable working across RIBA stages
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulations and industry standards
  • Proficient with industry software (e.g. Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD/Revit)
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commercial awareness
