About the role
The Assistant Site Manager will support the site management team in delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works progress according to programme.
- Supporting the coordination of subcontractors, materials and site logistics.
- Helping to monitor workmanship, quality standards and compliance with project specifications.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed, conducting daily checks and reporting issues promptly.
- Maintaining site documentation, including permits, reports and progress records.
- Liaising with site managers, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers to help resolve any on-site issues.
- Contributing to client updates, progress meetings and handover processes where required.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a site-based construction role is beneficial, ideally within fit-out or refurbishment, but not essential for the right candidate.
- Strong understanding of basic site processes, trades and construction practices.

- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to support multiple site activities.
