The Opportunity
I’m working exclusively with a long-standing building services client in London who are looking to add a Plumber/Heating Engineer to their team. This is a mobile role covering commercial and residential properties. It is essential the successful candidate lives within 10–15 miles of Wandsworth (SW18), as you will be required to attend the office daily to collect parts, materials and job sheets. If you’re a strong all-round pipefitter / heating engineer with commercial and domestic experience this is a stable, well-supported role with long-term progression.
Role Responsibilities
- Install and repair commercial heating pipework and components on communal systems
- Attend breakdowns and carry out fault-finding and diagnostics
- Install and repair domestic heating pipework, including valves, pumps, cylinders, radiators, HIUs and related components
- Troubleshoot heating and communal system faults quickly and effectively
- Maintain accurate service and job records using internal systems
- Take part in an out-of-hours call-out rota (1 in 6 weeks, covering evenings and weekends)
The Successful Plumber will have the following;
- Experience working on commercial & domestic heating systems
- Strong understanding of pipework installations, HVAC systems and heating repairs
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Must live within reasonable commute to Wandsworth (10–15 miles max)
- Enhanced DBS required (work in schools/colleges)
Salary & Package
- £40,000 – £45,000 basic
- Company van & fuel card
