About the company: My client is a family owned Rail sub-contractor who are turning over £15M. They are based on the outskirts of Hertfordshire with great transport links into central London. They have a very good reputation in the sector, sub-contracting for main contractors such as AMCO, Colas Rail and Volkerfitzpatrick as well as having strong relationships with Network Rail and London Underground. My client specialises in Platform extensions and reconstructions, groundworks, infrastructure, and concrete works within a rail environment. The founding owner of the company still has a huge involvement and you would be reporting to him directly.
About the opportunity: Due to successful company expansion and a healthy order book, my client is recruiting for a Project Manager with heavy civil engineering experience, to work within their rail infrastructure division. The initial project you will join is in Central London which is programmed for 1 year. As a Project Manager, you will join the company’s existing management team, reporting directly to the Operations Director and will be responsible for the onsite management of a project, ensuring it is managed within time and budget. You will have direct responsibility of all site staff, ensuring they are motivated and able to complete the task at hand. As a Project Manager you will have a clear understanding of the value of the contract and its duration, have a clear understanding of the client, project expectations, and requirements and also you’ll play a key role within their senior management team.
About the benefits and rewards: You will be rewarded with a competitive day rate ranging from £420.00 – £460.00 per day (specific rate will depend on previous experience and suitability). My client is happy to pay you as a LTD company or through an umbrella company.
About the requirements:
- You will need to have a PTS.
- A degree in either Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- A stable career working within a rail environment for either Main Contractors or Tier 2 contractors in the UK.
