Our client, a leading UK residential developer, is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join its Group function in a newly created role with significant visibility and influence across the organisation. This is a rare opportunity to shape and develop a corporate compliance framework within a highly respected and well-established business operating across multiple regions throughout the UK and internationally. Reporting into senior leadership, the Compliance Manager will take ownership of key corporate compliance programmes and support the ongoing enhancement of policies, controls, processes and training across the Group.

This role offers broad exposure across Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, HR and operational business units, making it ideal for a commercially minded compliance professional who enjoys stakeholder engagement, influencing senior leaders and driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the identification and assessment of compliance risks across the Group alongside Risk and Internal Audit teams.
- Enhance, draft and maintain compliance policies, procedures and controls to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Design and implement compliance programmes and e-learning initiatives across key corporate risk areas.
- Monitor compliance activity and prepare reporting for senior management and leadership teams.
- Deliver engaging training and awareness programmes to foster a strong culture of ethics and compliance.
- Provide practical advice on emerging legislation, regulatory developments and evolving compliance risks.
- Partner with stakeholders across Group Functions and regional Business Units to ensure a coordinated and consistent compliance approach.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for compliance-related matters across the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement through the use of data, technology and digital tools, including AI-enabled analysis and reporting.
The successful candidate is likely to be a proactive and commercially aware compliance professional with experience operating within a large corporate or regulated environment. A degree in Law, Business, Compliance or a related discipline is required.
- Proven experience within a senior compliance, risk or governance role.
- Experience developing policy frameworks, controls and assurance processes.
- Strong working knowledge of corporate compliance and governance frameworks.
