About the Company

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded subcontractor, specialising in reinforced concrete frames, groundworks, and civil engineering. With an exceptional record of delivering complex projects for repeat clients, they operate across the residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. Projects typically range from £5 million to £20 million, with operations spread across London and the South East. As part of their ongoing growth and project expansion, they are looking to strengthen their Health & Safety leadership team.

About the Role

Due to sustained growth and a robust pipeline of secured work, our client is looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager to take charge of H&S across multiple live construction sites (typically 3–5) located throughout Greater London and the Home Counties. This is a mobile, site-based role where you’ll be instrumental in shaping and enforcing a strong, positive health and safety culture.

You will be responsible for site inspections, audits, method statements, and construction phase plans, working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure best practice is followed at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage health and safety procedures across active construction sites
  • Develop, review, and implement site-specific safety plans and RAMS
  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
  • Ensure full compliance with current H&S legislation and CDM regulations
  • Support site teams in maintaining high standards of safety awareness and behaviour

About You

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification is essential
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a construction H&S role, preferably with a subcontractor
  • Background in RC frame, groundworks, or civil engineering strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction site operations and legal compliance
  • Proactive, organised, and confident working across multiple project teams
  • Full UK driving licence required – this is a mobile/site-based position

Salary & Benefits

£70,000 – £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
