The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a highly regarded specialist main contractor delivering some of London's most prestigious super-prime residential projects. The business has built an excellent reputation for delivering complex, high-quality homes, including full refurbishments, new-builds, extensions, basements, structural alterations and bespoke interiors across some of London's most exclusive locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Manager who takes genuine pride in quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail, and who enjoys working on technically challenging projects where standards are exceptionally high.
The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of a high-value super-prime residential project, working closely with the Project Director, Project Manager, design team, commercial team, subcontractors, specialist trades and client representatives. You will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, programme and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site.
- Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors and specialist trades.
- Manage construction activities from structural works through to high-quality internal finishes and completion.
- Coordinate multiple trades and ensure works are properly sequenced.
- Manage construction programmes, short-term planning and look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate design information and resolve technical issues with the design team.
- Manage quality assurance and ensure works are completed to specification.
- Oversee inspections, snagging, commissioning and handover.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, CDM and company procedures.
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, access and material requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the wider project team.
- Monitor progress and identify potential programme or construction risks.
- Ensure subcontractors are performing to the required standards.
- Maintain accurate site records and project documentation.
- Drive a positive site culture focused on quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager / No.1 Site Manager with a strong background in high-end or super-prime residential construction. You should have:
- Proven experience delivering high-end residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of refurbishment, renovation and new-build construction.
- Experience with complex structural works, basements and extensions.
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and programme management.
- Strong subcontractor and supply-chain management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine focus on quality.
- Confident communication skills with clients, consultants and project teams.
- Strong technical and construction knowledge.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to lead and motivate site teams.
- SMSTS and CSCS Black Card.
- A stable career history with demonstrable progression and project delivery experience.
