Are you an experienced Estimator with a passion for façades, cladding, and architectural excellence? My client, a specialist in high-performance cladding systems, is looking for a commercially focused Sales Estimator to join their expanding team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most prestigious construction projects, involving cutting-edge materials like natural stone, technical stone, rainscreen systems, porcelain, and terracotta.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for façade and cladding packages.
- Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors for pricing and technical input.
- Support the commercial team in developing cost-effective, value-engineered solutions.
- Present proposals and cost breakdowns to clients and stakeholders.
- Attend site visits, tender meetings, and client presentations as required.
- Maintain up-to-date estimating databases and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of estimating experience, ideally within façades, cladding, or external envelope systems.
- Strong knowledge of rainscreen cladding, stone systems, and general construction methods.
- Confident in reading technical and architectural drawings/specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimating tools such as Bluebeam, OSTO, or similar.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and manage risk.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Full UK driving licence (for site and client meetings).
