About Our Client
Our client is a respected main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across multiple sectors. They pride themselves on professionalism, attention to detail and a collaborative approach. Due to expansion, they are seeking an Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team.
Job Purpose
The Estimator works under regular supervision to manage all aspects of tendering, including preparing budgets, tenders, Bills of Quantities, and managing relationships with subcontractors. The role supports the Pre-Construction Director and helps develop team members in pre-construction matters.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare budgets and tenders for new projects
- Undertake manual and digital take-offs from drawings and documents
- Produce and update Bills of Quantities and input costs
- Collate, issue, and evaluate subcontractor enquiries
- Prepare tender submissions and manage post-tender queries
- Maintain subcontractor database and tender documentation
- Arrange and minute tender handover meetings for the construction team
- Support the Pre-Construction Director with day-to-day pre-construction duties
- Attend site visits as required
- Uphold a clean, professional working environment and corporate image
- Follow control procedures in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
