I am currently working with a leading façade contractor who is looking to appoint a Design Manager to join their expanding technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a business delivering high-profile façade projects across the residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors. You will play a key role in coordinating the design process, ensuring technical compliance and supporting successful project delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
The Role:
- Managing the façade design process from tender stage through to project completion
- Coordinating architects, consultants, clients and internal project teams
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions
- Managing external design consultants and specialist subcontract designers
- Ensuring designs comply with current regulations, including fire safety requirements
- Resolving technical design issues and supporting site teams throughout delivery
- Monitoring design programmes to ensure key milestones are achieved
What I’m Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Design Manager within the façade or cladding sector
- Strong technical understanding of rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, glazing or external envelope systems
- Experience managing the full design lifecycle on façade projects
- Good knowledge of current building regulations and industry standards
