I am currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager on behalf of a well-established façade and cladding contractor with a turnover of circa £10m–£15m. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to strengthen their operational team with the appointment of a Site Manager based on projects across Crawley and the surrounding areas. The company delivers a range of façade and cladding packages for main contractors and developers, with individual project values reaching up to £5 million.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of façade and cladding installations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing site operations from installation through to completion
  • Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour
  • Monitoring programme performance and reporting progress
  • Conducting site inspections and maintaining quality standards
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance across site activities
  • Attending site meetings with clients, consultants and principal contractors
  • Managing material deliveries and site logistics
  • Producing and maintaining site records and reports

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager within the façade, cladding or external envelope sector
  • Strong knowledge of rainscreen cladding systems and façade installations
  • Experience delivering projects for main contractors
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates
  • Full UK driving licence
