The Opportunity Our client is a well-established organisation delivering a broad range of commercial and public-sector services across Oxfordshire. Their operations cover property construction, maintenance and repairs, highways, landscaping, fleet and wider facilities management services. They are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their Complex Works team. The Role You will be responsible for leading the operational delivery of a busy team, ensuring work is coordinated effectively, delivered safely and completed to the required standards. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the day-to-day operational delivery of the team. Overseeing complex property and building works. Coordinating workloads, resources and programmes. Managing subcontractors and supply chain partners. Ensuring works are delivered within agreed budgets. Monitoring productivity and operational performance. Managing client and stakeholder relationships. Ensuring compliance with health & safety and regulatory requirements. Monitoring KPIs and service performance. Supporting continuous improvement across the operation. Managing and developing members of the team. Ensuring excellent customer service throughout the delivery process. About You The successful candidate will have: Proven experience in a Contracts Management or senior operational management position. Strong experience within construction, building maintenance or property services. Experience managing teams and subcontractors. Strong commercial and financial awareness. Excellent client and stakeholder management skills. Good knowledge of health & safety and regulatory requirements. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. The ability to manage competing priorities within a busy environment. A professional and proactive approach. Experience within complex works, building maintenance, repairs, social housing or public-sector environments would be highly advantageous.
