We are working with a well-established carpentry and joinery subcontractor operating across London and the South East, who are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their expanding operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading specialist delivering multiple high-quality carpentry projects across the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing several projects concurrently, typically managing between five and six live sites at any one time.
The Role
- Lead and support Site Managers and Supervisors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Manage all operational and contractual activities, ensuring compliance with client standards and internal procedures.
- Oversee project programming, resource allocation, and client coordination to maintain smooth delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure safety, compliance, and quality control.
- Promote a culture of customer excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate recording of works and certification, including BM Trada fire door installations.
- Work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for efficiency and performance improvement.
About You
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager within the carpentry or joinery sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and teams simultaneously.
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and compliance standards.
- A professional approach with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good IT literacy (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office).
- A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the South East.
