About the Opportunity
I am seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a concrete frame and groundwork subcontractor. The role reports directly to the commercial director and involves overseeing concrete frame, basement, and groundwork packages from award through to final account. The business turns over around £40 million per annum and offers opportunities for progression within the growing company.
Responsibilities
- Oversee concrete frame, basement, and groundwork packages from award through to final account.
- Account for cost planning, budgeting, and valuation throughout project life cycle.
- Provide commercial support and risk management to the project team.
- Prepare and review final accounts, progress reports and variations.
- Assist in procurement and contract negotiations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a concrete frame or groundwork subcontractor in the UK.
- Degree qualified in quantity surveying or commercial management.
- Experience in concrete frame, basement, or groundwork projects.
- Based in Essex or the east side of London, or willing to relocate; ability to travel to project sites.
Benefits
- £80,000 – £100,000 per annum (flexible based on experience).
- Comprehensive package including pension, car or travel allowance, and bonus scheme.
- Option for self‑employed payment method.
