ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to the company rebuilding its commercial team, there is a need for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the quantity surveyor within the utilities sector. You will manage costs to maximize profit, ensure payment delivery, and develop client relationships. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating payments, site measurements, general surveying, reviewing and pricing variations, and preparing valuations with Project Managers and the Commercial Director. The projects involve multi-utility projects, all under NEC contracts.

REQUIREMENTS

You should have a good education, preferably a Foundation Degree (HND, HNC) in Construction, Civils, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent qualification. Experience working within highways for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 company as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor is essential, along with demonstrating long-term stability at previous employers. Knowledge and experience working on NEC contracts are required. A full UK driver’s license is necessary to travel between the office, construction sites, and other locations.
