About the Role
As a Cost Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cost management support throughout all project stages. You will work closely with clients, design teams and internal project managers to ensure accurate budgeting, effective cost control and successful commercial delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing cost plans, feasibility studies and budget estimates
- Managing tender processes, evaluations and contractor negotiations
- Producing bills of quantities, cost analyses and procurement strategies
- Providing cost reporting, forecasting and risk analysis
- Supporting pre- and post-contract cost management
- Advising clients on commercial matters, value engineering and project efficiencies
- Working collaboratively with wider consultancy teams
About the Requirements
- Experience working within the built consultancy sector (cost consultancy, PQS, project consultancy or similar)
- Strong background in commercial cost management across multiple sectors
- Familiarity with pre- and post-contract services
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Progression toward MRICS is beneficial (not essential)
