Cityscape is working with a well-regarded construction consultancy that is looking to bring in a Senior Cost Manager to join its Birmingham team. This role offers the chance to work on one of the region’s most significant schemes, a £300m new build hospital, delivered using NEC4 contracts. You’ll play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of the project from pre-construction through to delivery, working closely with the client and wider project team. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to major projects and wants to take real ownership within a collaborative consultancy environment.
The Role
- Lead cost management on a flagship £300m hospital development
- Prepare cost plans, manage procurement and oversee tender processes
- Administer and manage projects under NEC4 contracts
- Produce cost reports, manage change and maintain commercial control
- Work closely with clients, contractors and the wider delivery team
- Support and mentor junior team members
What They’re Looking For
- Consultancy-side Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager experience
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (NEC4 ideally)
- Experience on major public sector or healthcare projects is advantageous
- Confident managing stakeholders and leading client interactions
- MRICS or working towards chartership
