Note: The current government funding for this role is from the Home Office. At the time of advertisement, funding has not been confirmed by the Home Office for 2026/27 onwards, however we feel confident that funding will continue beyond this financial year for several years to come.

About The Team

The role is part of the National Police Chief Council’s national cyber crime team who are led by the Commissioner of City of London Police. The team are responsible for delivering national initiatives on behalf of all police forces within England and Wales and other law enforcement partners.

About The Role

The post holder will be required to give presentations to a wide variety of audiences and levels. This will include the marketing and promotion of the value and benefits of the product to the business community to grow membership in line with the Growth Strategy. The coordinator will be expected to develop and implement a model of engagement and training with all forces and ROCUs to embed the use and promotion of Police CyberAlarm. The role holder will be responsible for the development of relationships with key stakeholders and partners in the delivery and promotion of the value and benefits of the product with LEA, public sector partners and the business community.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver presentations on Police CyberAlarm to a wide audience of LEA partners including the Cyber Resilience Centres, forces and ROCUs, National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), National Crime Agency (NCA), National Police Governance Boards, National Cyber Policing Conferences, and strategic policing partners promoting the value and benefits of the product.
  • Deliver presentations on Police CyberAlarm to a wide audience of private and public sector partners including Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), private industry, MSPs, the business community and public sector such as the education sector and local government which will include marketing and promoting the product etc in line with the Growth Strategy.
  • Work with the PCA Intelligence Development Supervisor and the supplier with input into the development of Police CyberAlarm project to ensure deployment to capture suspicious data and threat intelligence nationally and regionally for presentations and dissemination.
  • Facilitate the ongoing development of the PCA capability, working with the supplier and stakeholders by identifying and promoting best practice across the network.
  • Provide professional advice and consultancy in relation to identifying opportunities to increase membership and in the promotion of Police CyberAlarm to the business community and public sector.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills to present the product to businesses and key stakeholders.
  • Written communication skills to develop reports and present the product.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels from face to face with businesses, with suppliers, within policing, industry and strategic partners at a senior and executive level.
  • Essential to have experience within law enforcement and/or the cyber security industry.

Selection Process

As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role. The application and interview will be tested under Level CVF Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework. Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered. The closing date for applications is 18th February 2026 at 2pm. Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, to be held from week commencing 3rd March 2026.
