We are seeking to appoint an HLTA for Literacy to coordinate interventions, create learning resources, develop strategies, and support with students' learning ensuring young people achieve the best possible learning outcomes. Candidates must have good subject knowledge and qualifications in English and will be willing to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work on their own initiative.

This role is challenging yet highly rewarding, and it will give the right person a chance to play a key role in equipping students with knowledge, strategies, confidence and independence to be successful in their learning in school, and to make a real difference to their lives.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract: Permanent (You are required to complete a 26 working weeks probation period before the appointment is confirmed)

Hours: 35 hours per week / 39 weeks per year (term time plus one week)

Working Day: 8.15 am to 3.45 pm, Monday – Friday (with 30 mins for lunch)

Grade: LG Grade 5, point 11-14 (Single Status generic job description E9001b)

FTE Salary: £28,598 (pro-rata: £23,347)

This is a great opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our supportive team. We are looking for someone with high levels of emotional intelligence who can work both one-to-one with a student yet also have the presence and personality to engage with small groups. The successful candidates will have recent experience of working with young people and hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
