We are currently looking for Industrial Placement students to join one of the most interesting and exciting investment managers in their London office for summer 2025. This is an amazing opportunity to kickstart your career in an organisation which has an inclusive culture where the contributions of all our people are recognised and valued. With over £52bn in AUM, this specialist multi asset investment firm will give you a wide variety of exposure during your placement.
As a placement student you will sit within the Investment team working with different areas in the wider Investment department, including the Multi Asset, Credit and Liability Driven Investment teams. You will deliver solutions and quantitative analysis for effective ex-ante investment decision making. You will embrace new advanced technology, efficiency and creativity so that we can deliver more robust and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:- Work with the team to provide quantitative analysis to help inform investment processes and decision making. This includes ad-hoc market and portfolio analysis as well as monitoring portfolio risk from different aspects using internal and external risk systems.
- Assist in investment committee materials preparation.
- Work with the team to improve Excel and/or Python based solutions for investment decision making.
- Contribute to internal quantitative library and development and tooling upgrade.
- Work with the team to incorporate infrastructure changes and integrate them into solutions.
- Work with the team to test inhouse developed systems and external vendor systems.
- Participate in broader projects related to investments and analytics.
- Currently a student looking to obtain a placement year in the investment industry.
