Reporting to the Onboarding Manager, as a Compliance Analyst the primary function is to protect the company from exposure to money laundering, specifically in regards to onboarding clients by providing AML guidance and advice. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing clients and conducting KYC across various alternative investment structures to assess AML and fraud risk.
- Carrying out Due Diligence analysis on various client types (corporate entities, trusts, funds, non-bank financial intermediaries, SPVs) potentially within non-equivalent jurisdictions.
- Carrying out KYC investigations and escalations of Politically Exposed Persons, State Owned Entities, Adverse Media.
- Identifying suspicious activity and following process to report these where required.
- Mastering various compliance platforms, screening tools and systems to streamline department workflow.
- Supporting the Risk and Compliance function in the delivery of projects to enhance the performance of the function to ensure technical excellence and a practical approach to support the wider growth of the Business.
- Responding to queries from various business units promptly and efficiently.
