The Used Car Manager will be required, through a strategic and hands-on approach, to manage the used car sales environment, the people and the process to maximise the profit opportunity and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the used car department, including sourcing and managing stock levels, pricing and appraisals, and vehicle preparation and display
- Lead, motivate, and coach sales executives to achieve sales targets and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Report on department performance, key metrics, and stock management to senior management
- Ensure all vehicles meet quality and safety standards before sale, in line with company policies and legal requirements
- Ensure all sales are compliant with Group sales processes and regulatory standards
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability within the used car team including lead management and in-house purchases through service departments
- Strive for excellent customer service and timely resolution of any customer complaints
