Citygate is currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Logistics Co-ordinator, based at our Slough Preparation Centre. You'll lead the in-house trade plate driver team that moves vehicles between our dealerships and service centres across London, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire — representing the Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, ŠKODA, SEAT, CUPRA and Kia brands. As the Logistics Co-ordinator you’ll play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, dealer site readiness, and the smooth flow of stock between our preparation centres and retail sites.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, support and develop the in-house trade plate driver team — allocating daily routes, managing performance, attendance, and day-to-day people matters.
  • Plan and oversee the daily vehicle movement schedule across the Citygate network, ensuring all collections and deliveries are completed on time and to standard.
  • Use route optimisation technology to build efficient daily plans, sequence movements, and minimise empty mileage.
  • Ensure every movement has accurate proof of collection and proof of delivery captured — including photos, signatures, and any vehicle condition notes — and that paperwork is filed correctly for every job.
  • Investigate any missing PODs, damage claims, or service failures, and put preventative measures in place.
  • Manage driver expenses, fuel cards, public transport returns and reimbursements — reviewing claims, approving submissions, and reconciling weekly against budget.
  • Be the main point of contact for sites and dealerships across the group — coordinating priorities, handling urgent or last-minute movement requests, and resolving issues quickly.
  • Ensure trade plate compliance, motor trade insurance cover, and driving licence checks are kept up to date for every driver.
  • Monitor driver utilisation, shift length, and movement completion to identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce cost per move.
  • Ensure a safe working environment in line with company policy and health & safety regulations, investigating any accidents in a timely manner.
  • Produce weekly reporting on volume, cost, expenses, and performance for the management team.
