Diagnostic Technician
We are looking for a Diagnostic Technician to carry out general servicing and mechanical repairs on customers\’ vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Being an ambassador of the Citygate workshop and championing technical best practice.
- Carrying out service, diagnosis, and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
- Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control.
- Liaising with customers to provide your expert, technical opinion.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.
- Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
- Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
Qualifications
- Experience ideally within a main dealership and have served a recognised apprenticeship with the appropriate qualifications (an NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent is essential).
- Experience of working with The Volkswagen Group brands would be desirable but is not mandatory (excellent training can be provided).
- The ability to be self‑motivated to achieve targets.
- A passion for learning and if desired to progress further at Citygate.
- An interest in coaching apprentices and supporting service technicians.
- A positive attitude and to be a good team player.
- You must have a full UK driving licence.
