Role overview
We are currently looking for a Bodyshop Panel Technician to join our Bodyshop at our Wooburn Green site. As a Panel Technician you will carry out all workshop work in an efficient and safe manner, to meet customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate the extent of damage: Before starting any repairs, you must assess the damage to the vehicle's body and determine the most efficient and effective way to repair it using the manufacturers approved repair methods.
- Preparing the damaged area: This involves removing any damaged parts, such as bumpers, panels or doors, and preparing the area for repairs utilising the latest repair processes.
- Repairing or replacing damaged parts: You must be skilled in welding, soldering, and metalworking techniques to repair or replace damaged panels or parts of the vehicle.
- Inspecting and testing the repairs: Once repairs are completed, you are expected to thoroughly inspect and test the repaired area to ensure it is functioning properly and meets industry standards.
- Maintaining equipment and tools: You are responsible for maintaining your equipment and tools, including welding equipment, sanders and grinders.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations: You are expected to adhere to all safety regulations and standards to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.
- Right First Time Fix: Your quality of work should be class leading, with the mindset of the repairs being carried correctly on every occasion. The highest quality of work is a fundamental requirement of this role.
