Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Prep Technician to carry out vehicle preparations on new and used vehicles.
Key responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as a Prep Technician will be to:
- Conduct vehicle preparation, servicing, maintenance, and repair
- Utilising your technical knowledge to inspect the engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Repairing and replacing broken or defective parts
- Liaising with customers where necessary
- Road testing vehicles to check for faults and repairs
- Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed
- Completing all documentation to the required standard
About You
As a Prep Technician, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
- The capability of working to deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping
- An NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in light vehicle repair & maintenance
- A full UK driving license
- Excellent communication skills
