We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join Citygate, the largest Volkswagen Group dealership in Europe, and a flagship Volkswagen site. This is a high-profile role managing a multi-brand operation across Volkswagen, Å KODA and CUPRA, within the largest dealership in the group.
You will be responsible for planning and coordinating workshop activity to meet customer requirements, maximise utilisation and profitability, and lead a large team of Technicians. Working closely with the Aftersales Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional quality, efficiency, and customer care.
As Workshop Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Controlling the flow of work through the workshop to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales
- Driving workshop productivity and efficiency, with a target of 100% utilisation
- Leading, motivating, and communicating effectively with all members of the workshop team
- Coordinating workshop activity to ensure all agreed work is delivered to manufacturer standards
- Reporting additional damage identified during vehicle inspections and ensuring appropriate documentation is completed
- Championing a positive, compliant, and safety-focused workplace culture

As a Workshop Controller, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience working as a Workshop Controller
- Strong managerial skills and be able to prove you can control a workshop of Technicians efficiently.
