I am searching for talent, that is ready to make history & fulfil their purpose in a growing & dynamic business.

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home, office working. You’ll travel to customer sites at least twice a week covering locations: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee & Sterling

As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Network Planner

The Network Planner is responsible for creating robust, cost-effective designs for civils and fibre-optic infrastructure that align with defined methodologies and project timelines.

You’ll receive a competitive salary, a car allowance, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Design and deliver cost-effective, future-proof civils and fibre-optic infrastructure aligned with project timelines and architectural standards
  • Conduct site surveys adhering to safety protocols, ensuring accurate data capture and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Forecast and document capital and operational expenditure, producing detailed, industry-standard design documentation
  • Champion data quality and consistency across asset and customer systems, supporting the development of scalable network topologies

What you’ll bring to the role

As an experienced, customer-facing Network Planner, you will design infrastructure solutions that meet both business and customer needs, ensuring scalability, high quality, and long-term viability. You’ll also have:

  • Expertise in civil and fibre planning with a strong grasp of local/national regulations and the ability to produce detailed survey, installation, and as-built documentation
  • Proficiency in GIS Software and industry tools such as Salesforce and Depotnet, with working knowledge of GE Smallworld and FTTH design methodologies considered advantageous
  • Strong analytical and time management Skills, with experience in forecasting capex/opex and maintaining high data quality standards
  • Field readiness and communication skills, including willingness to travel for site surveys and experience in customer-facing or partner collaboration roles
