Joining us as a Senior SHE Business Partner, you will shape governance, assurance and ISO‑aligned standards, working with leadership to embed sustainable safety and environmental performance across a national network build operation. You’ll receive a competitive salary, a car allowance, and a performance related bonus.
This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
- Embedding an ISO‑aligned SHE governance and assurance model across a complex, national operation
- Leading a risk‑based internal audit and assurance programme that drives real improvement
- Deploying SHE management systems so they are lived in operations, not just documented
- Using data, trends and assurance insight to prioritise risk and influence decisions
- Coaching leaders and teams to build ownership, capability and cultural maturity in SHE
- Providing pragmatic SHE leadership across assurance, investigations and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring to the role:
- A strong grounding in ISO‑aligned SHE governance, with the credibility and influence to embed standards, drive assurance and elevate safety culture across a complex operational environment.
- Proven experience embedding SHE management systems (ISO 45001 / 14001 / 9001) into live operations, not just maintaining certification
- Strong capability in governance, assurance and internal audit, including designing and delivering risk‑based audit programmes
- The ability to analyse SHE data, trends and assurance outputs and translate insight into meaningful business action
- Confidence influencing and coaching senior leaders to build ownership, competence and cultural maturity in SHE
- A pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach, able to challenge constructively and drive sustainable improvement
- Experience operating in regulated or high‑risk environments, working effectively across multi‑site operations and supply chains
- A higher‑level Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) and strong working knowledge of UK SHE legislation and ISO standards
