Joining us as an Environment and Sustainability Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering CityFibre’s ESG strategy, helping us achieve our sustainability, decarbonisation and social value ambitions. Working closely with our Head of ESG and teams across the business, you’ll lead sustainability initiatives, own key ESG reporting activities and turn complex sustainability data into meaningful insight. You’ll combine strong technical sustainability knowledge with project management and stakeholder engagement to drive measurable change across CityFibre.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Leading the delivery of sustainability, decarbonisation and social value initiatives across CityFibre
  • Owning ESG data collation and reporting for senior leadership, investors, shareholders and external reporting requirements
  • Developing and maintaining our sustainability roadmap, ensuring initiatives are prioritised and aligned to our ESG strategy
  • Leading cross-functional sustainability projects and influencing stakeholders across areas including Build, Procurement, People and Marketing
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and improve our environmental and social impact
  • Supporting our sustainability communications, annual ESG reporting, SBTi commitments and external industry engagement

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • You’ll have significant sustainability or ESG experience, combining strong carbon and reporting knowledge with the ability to deliver sustainability initiatives across a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of the GHG Protocol, carbon accounting and emissions data management
  • Experience managing ESG or sustainability reporting, including the analysis and presentation of complex sustainability data
  • Strong project management skills with experience delivering initiatives through cross-functional teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong data and analytical capability, including Excel, dashboards and sustainability reporting systems
  • Experience of decarbonisation, SBTi or sustainability within infrastructure, utilities, construction or a similar environment would be advantageous
