What You’ll Be Doing
As a Sales Controller you will drive sales and profitability within the retail automotive environment by maximising opportunities, managing vehicle transactions, and consistently delivering excellent customer service. Key is you will support team success by ensuring compliance with company processes, contributing to financial targets, and assisting in the training and development of Sales Consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all enquiries are responded to within expected timeframes.
- Ensure all enquiries are dealt with in line with our qualification expectations.
- Coach our sales Consultants if minimum qualification expectations are not met.
- Ensure all customers are treated fairly and are presented with our full protection care pack.
- Conduct regular quality checks of leads received.
- Identify and provide coaching for areas of development.
- Conduct daily check-ins to ensure no customer need is left unanswered and all customers are responded to throughout the day.
- Ensure Sales Consultants have followed our sales process.
- Face all customer enquiries regardless of showroom or digital contact.
- Ensure customer journey is consistent and compliant and offers the best opportunity to convert an enquiry into a sale.
- Provide ‘added value’ to the overall customer journey and deal.
- Ensure high levels of Sales Consultant engagement, customer satisfaction and quality of deal (margin/IPRD/etc.).
- Work with Sales Consultants and on-site teams to ensure, where possible, vehicles are handed over within 72hrs of order.
- Work with Sale Managers/Assistant Sales Manager to ensure vehicles are prepared within reasonable time to achieve the above.
- Work with Sales Consultants, Assistant Sales Manager and Sales Managers to ensure all part-exchanges are verified as a true representation and fair deal, and ensure all necessary paperwork is evidenced.
- Handle all customer complaints professionally and within appropriate and agreed timescales, ensuring customer satisfaction. Escalate where necessary.
- Responsible for ensuring ITC records are completed within the required time frames ensuring all deals are compliant and are signed off accordingly.
- Act as “gatekeeper” for all customer interactions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous sales experience within the Motor industry.
- Experience of a customer focussed environment.
- Specialist knowledge of F&I and MBI vehicle valuation.
- Administration & IT skills.
