This is an exciting opportunity to join City West Country Ltd, in our Finance Department at our Exeter Head Office! We are looking for a highly experienced Management Accountant with Motor Trade experience or 5 years commercial experience to support the production of management accounts covering multiple entities.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As the Management Accountant, you will support the preparation of management accounts across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Assist with financial reporting requirements and contribute to audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
- Help improve financial systems and processes to meet business needs.
- Provide support and cover for the Finance Manager as required.
- Operate the accounting and management information systems in line with the company and the Brand standards.
- Promote a high level of customer service, encouraging the team to build strong relationships with colleagues in our business and external customers.
- Be accountable for continuous professional development to maintain and improve accounting expertise for the Finance team.
- Build good relationships with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers, and statutory representatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA ideally) or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Commercial awareness and ability to understand the bigger picture with the Brand and the business.
- Ability to work at pace in a rapidly changing and a customer focused environment.
- Advance IT skills – very proficient in dealership management systems, Excel and data gathering and manipulation.
- Fosters and encourages a working environment that is built on trust and consideration of other team members.
