Overview
In this role you lead the newly established Year Placements service within City St George’s Careers and Employability Directorate to secure high-quality year-long placements for undergraduate students. You will manage a team of four Placement Officers, deliver a student-centered service across Schools, and implement strategies to raise placement readiness and outcomes. You’ll use data to measure impact, inform decisions, and drive continuous service improvement. This position offers a chance to shape employability support at a major university and collaborate across academic and professional services.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of four Year Placement Officers
- Deliver a high-quality, student-centred placement service across Schools
- Develop and implement strategies for placement readiness and meaningful opportunities
- Ensure KPIs and service objectives are met
- Utilise management information and performance data to evaluate impact and drive improvement
- Collaborate with academic and professional colleagues to strengthen placement processes
- Develop support programmes responsive to a diverse student community
