Overview

As Doctoral College finance lead, you will develop and standardize financial processes for postgraduate research.

You will collaborate across the Doctoral College, Schools and professional services to strengthen management information and reporting for strategic decision-making.

You will oversee studentships, payment cycles and financial record-keeping, guiding colleagues to ensure compliant, best-practice finance.

This role shapes the postgraduate research experience within a supportive, mission-driven university community.

You will contribute to the Doctoral College's strategic direction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • oversee and continually improve financial record management and reporting for postgraduate research activity
  • act as the subject matter expert in postgraduate research finance and provide guidance across academic and professional services
  • promote best practices in financial processes and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and institutional requirements
  • collaborate with Schools, Finance, and Research and Innovation Services to administer studentships and payment processes
  • maintain accurate records and robust financial reporting to support strategic decision-making
  • contribute to shaping the strategic direction of the Doctoral College as a Management Team member
