We are seeking a part time Academic Skills Tutor to be based at the Tooting Campus (co-located with St George’s Hospital) for a fixed term period until the end of July 2026. Organisationally the role is part of the Academic Skills team within the Learning Enhancement and Development (LEaD) directorate. The Directorate supports, develops, and influences education at City St George’s, University of London. The Academic Skills Tutor role involves working with students, academic and professional services colleagues at the Tooting Campus to develop students’ academic skills. This is done through in-person and online tutorials, City St George’s VLE, and group sessions within the curriculum.

The role will be based at the Tooting Campus and will require the post-holder to offer in-person provision at least two days of the week and ideally an extra Friday per month. The successful candidate will hold a postgraduate teaching qualification, and have experience of delivering academic skills support to students in an FE or HE learning environment. We are looking for a candidate with strong organisational, time-management and communication skills.
