The successful candidate will be a GOC registered optometrist, or have a similar clinical background, with an interest in Medical Retina. They will have an established expertise and proven portfolio of research, including the ability to collect high quality data, analyse complex datasets, and to publish in high quality journals. The successful candidate will also have outstanding clinical and communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience of managing administrative elements of research, including applications for NHS research ethical approvals and local NHS site approvals is desirable.
